EIGHTH ANNUAL SHADY LADIES QUILT SHOW
June 3-5, 2011

The Shady Ladies Quilting Guild will once again be displaying their award winning quilts and offering selected quilts for sale.  Over 100 quilts ranging from artistic wall hangings to traditional bed quilts will be on display.  The show also includes a boutique stocked with small quilts and quilt-related items.  The $3.00 admission charge is donated to Lake Logan's Summer Youth Camp Program and proceeds from the raffle quilt (made by the group) benefit Haywood County charities.
 
Original quilts created in response to a challenge devised by the leaders of the Shady Ladies are always a highlight of the show.  The 2011 challenge is called PHOTO FINISH.  Each Shady Lady will interpret one of her own photographs in a completely original 20" by 30" wall quilt.  The quilts are to be artistic creations only suggesting the photos used as their inspiration.
 
This will be the largest collection of original designs in the area and the quilters will be on hand to answer questions.
