Lauri SoJourner
Executive Director

Lauri came to Lake Logan as executive director in 2017. Prior to that she served as executive director at Gravatt Camp and Conference Center in South Carolina. She believes strongly in the power of camp and retreat ministry and feels incredibly lucky to be able to carry out this ministry in the Episcopal Church in such a beautiful place. She has a BA in English/ Professional Communications from Winthrop University, an MA in Student Personnel Administration from Ball State University, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management also from Winthrop. Lauri lives on Lake Logan property with her husband and three of their six children as well as a small farm of family pets, including dogs, cats, and chickens.

Bruce Pace
Maintenance SUPERVISOR

A native of this area, Bruce has worked in maintenance at Lake Logan for since 2000. He and his wife, Patricia, have two daughters, Shana and Traci, and four grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wayne Reece
Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

Wayne has enjoyed working in maintenance at Lake Logan since 2016. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and anything in the great outdoors as well as spending time with family and friends.

Jean Santucci, Bookkeeper
jean@lakelogan.org

Jean was born and raised in the Washington, DC area.  She worked for the Federal Government’s Public Health Service for many years and took early retirement in 1995.  In 2003 she moved to Maggie Valley.  Jean has been a member of St. Andrew’s Canton for over 13 years where she has served in various roles working on the Altar Guild, Holy Smoke BBQ Ministry, the Vestry (as Senior Warden and as Clerk of the Vestry) and she is currently serving as Treasurer.  Jean worked at Lake Logan from 2007-2010 as the bookkeeper.  She returned in 2013 and continues in that role on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Jean is a quilter when time allows.  She has one son and 2 grandchildren who reside in Michigan, and she is looking forward to being a great grandmother this fall.

Dora Surrett
Director of Housekeeping

Dora can’t imagine herself working anywhere other than Lake Logan. She used to work in the dining hall for many years and has served as director of housekeeping since 2015. She has three children, Nathan, Brooke, and Jesse, two grandchildren and another on the way. She and her fiancé, Dustin, will be married at Lake Logan this year. Dora says, “God has blessed me so much to have the family I do and to come to work in such a beautiful place.”
