Making Space for Christmas with Emily Wilmer and David Keller

"Let is be with me according to your word."

In the midst of all the sounds, activities, and preparations for the Christmas Season it is possible to miss our own annunciations and opportunities for giving birth to Christ in our lives. This quiet overnight retreat will include contemplative prayer, presentations, personal reflecting time and end with a contemplative Eucharist.

Our leaders are Emily Wilmer and David Keller.

David Keller is former adjunct professor of spirituality in the Center for Christian Spirituality at General Theological Seminary in New York. He is a co-founder of St. Macarius Contemplative Community in Asheville, NC. David is the author of Come and See: The Transformation of Personal Prayer (Morehouse Publishing, 2009) and two books of the desert mothers and fathers.

Emily Wilmer completed the two year course in individual spiritual direction at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Washington, DC and has provided direction for over 25 years.    Emily is co-director with David Keller of Oasis of Wisdom, An Institute for Contemplative Studies, Living and Practice in Asheville, NC and co-founder of St. Macarius Contemplative Community.
