Fish of Lake Logan

People ask us all the time what kind of fish they can catch at Lake Logan. Thanks to Matt Rhea, who teaches in the Fish and Wildlife Management Technology Department at Haywood Community College and worked with students at Lake Logan to complete a survey, we can tell you what you might find on the other end of a fishing pole.

Overnight guests are allowed to fish at Lake Logan in the lake and river. You can get a day pass or a season membership to fish by calling our office. Remember that we are catch and release only, single hook, no live bait, and the NC Wildlife Resources Commission requires you to have a fishing permit. Want more information?
