Join us for Snorkeling Tours, Saturdays 1-3pm from June through mid-September.

Led by Kristen Burns, Environmental Education Coordinator and set on our 300-acre campus, surrounded by Pisgah National Forest and the Shining Rock Wilderness, this tour is designed for explorers ages 6+, on Lake Logan and the Pigeon River.

Fed by the pristine headwaters descending from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the streams and upper reaches of the lake are exceptionally clear. As you float through the cool mountain waters, you enter a “hidden world” teeming with life, including freshwater fish, crayfish, and salamanders! You get to see these waters through the lens of these residents, including observing their natural behaviors (like nest-building)
Ready to explore? Reserve your spot today and let’s get out on – an under – the water!
This tour is offered on a donation basis so everyone can join in. A suggested donation of $20 per adult (ages 18+) and $10 per youth (ages 12-17), with a minimum donation of $5 per attendee (all ages). Payments can be made by cash or card upon arrival. All donations support Lake Logan’s Retreat Center, Outdoor School, Camp Henry and ongoing Hurricane Helene restoration. Every contribution keeps these experiences accessible and our waterways protected.
