Sunset Paddling Tours – Fridays
Join us for Sunset Paddling Tours, Fridays 6-8pm from June through mid-September.
Led by Kristen Burns, Environmental Education Coordinator and set on our 300-acre campus, surrounded by Pisgah National Forest and the Shining Rock Wilderness, this tour is designed for explorers of all ages, with your choice of a paddleboard, kayak, canoe, or row boat on Lake Logan and the Pigeon River.
As you paddle, Kristen will guide you through the fascinating relationships within the aquatic environment, revealing how plants, fish, insects, and countless other species depend on one another to thrive. Along the way, you’ll discover why biodiversity matters and how protecting our waterways keeps these ecosystems healthy for generations to come.
This is hands-on learning at its best: explore a living river and lake up close, get curious about the creatures beneath the surface, and come away with a deeper appreciation for the water all around us. Fun, educational, and unforgettable, it’s an adventure the whole family can share.
