He has a passion for working with kids and families, he is an avid outdoor adventurer, and he spends his free time walking and hiking with his wife Catherine and their dogs Juniper and Laurel. Cold Mountain Music Festival returns to Lake Logan June May 30th – June 1st, 2025. We have a fantastic line-up for this year’s festival with Melissa Carper headlining Friday night and American Aquarium headlining Saturday. In between acts on the Main Stage, catch some talented youth musicians from across Western NC on the JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) stage adjacent to the Kids’ Zone, Vendor Village and the Food Trucks / Beer Garden. Throughout the weekend, festival goers are welcome and encouraged to explore all that Lake Logan’s campus has to offer. Enjoy a hike into the Shining Rock Wilderness, soak in a bald eagle spotting by the West Fork of the Pigeon River, or go for a boat ride or swim in the pristine waters of Lake Logan. Camping and dorm style lodging are available. Sign up to volunteer, sponsor, or purchase your tickets today at www.coldmountainmusic.org.
Are you a current or former Camp Henry camper, parent, volunteer, or staff member? Join us for the Camp Henry canteen at Boojum’s Hospitality tent on the field at Cold Mountain on Saturday at 5pm. We’ll share some memories and some merriment and perhaps a little round of trash can lid for ol’ times sake! Can’t wait to see you all at Cold Mountain!
Camp Henry Scholarships
We are just one month away from Camp Henry’s first 2025 session and we need YOUR help to make it an incredible summer! Camp Henry has a long-standing commitment that any camper who wants to attend Camp Henry is able to. This year, after the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene on our region, it is more important than ever for kids and families to be able to experience the transformative magic of summer camp. Last year, Camp Henry supported over 250 campers through $80,000 worth of partial and full scholarships. Both Sadie and Madison came to Camp Henry as kids with the support of these scholarships. The Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina, church communities across the Diocese, and our team at Lake Logan works hard to fulfill this commitment each and every year, but we can’t do it without your support.
Our goal is to raise an additional $20,000 for this summer which will send nearly 30 kids to camp on full scholarships. Join us in welcoming more campers from across WNC into the beloved community Camp Henry has been cultivating for over 66 years. $705 sends 1 kid to camp for a week. Whether you can donate $5 or $5,000, every gift is greatly appreciated. Give today to send a kid to Camp Henry!
Camp Henry sessions are filling up quickly! Register and pay your deposit ASAP to secure your spot. Please note that campers without deposits may be moved to the waitlist as sessions fill up. Contact or for more information on available scholarships. Visit lakelogan.org/camphenry to register and learn more about our 2025 session offerings!

Hurricane Helene Restoration Updates
Our crew has been hard at work for months preparing campus for another fantastic Summer. We’ve built a berm along the riverside, re-seeded the field, cleaned up tons and tons of debrief from the waterfront, established new picnic areas, built new outdoor furniture, and thanks to incredibly generous donations, began to replenish our supply of recreational equipment lost to the flood waters. We now turn our attention to several large scale efforts to ensure the safety and sustainability of this place we all love so dearly. We need your support! Please consider a donation to our Helene Restoration Fund!
Day Passes and Annual Memberships
Do you love hiking, boating, swimming, picnicking with family and friends? Lake Logan offers both day passes (kids 11 and under are always free) as well as annual memberships for recreation, fishing, and more! We are welcome and open to all. Thanks to several generous donations we’ve purchased a fleet of 17 new stand-up paddle boards with sit-on-top kayaks conversion kits, 2 new row boats, and new adult and youth life jackets. All boat rentals are included in your pass or membership. Spring is in full bloom and Summer is around the corner. Purchase a day pass or become an annual member today.
