We are so excited to introduce to your 2021 summer staff. It’s going to be a great summer, and we hope we’ll see you all at Camp Henry!
Jessi LeFiles, Director
Hello there folks!! My name is Jessi and 2021 will be my second summer with Camp Henry. I couldn’t be more excited to lead this amazing team of young folks as we swim, play, learn, grow, pray, and sing our way through the summers. When not supporting camp sessions I like to spend my time exploring this beautiful property that we steward with my husband Brice and kiddos, Anna and Emily. I hope you’ll join us for an unforgettable experience this summer!
Julia Hubbard, Assistant Director
Hi all! My name is Julia Hubbard, I am a long-time camper and staff member here at Camp Henry. I am currently a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill working on a double-major in Sociology and Hispanic Literature and Culture with a minor in Social and Economic Justice. I am so very excited to be returning to Camp this summer as one of the Assistant Directors, and I know in my heart that we are going to have an amazing summer! Some of my deepest passions include music, art, and, most of all, the kids at Camp Henry. My experiences here have changed my life in so many amazing ways, and I am beyond happy to return that gift as we guide our wonderful campers through their spiritual journey. Camp Henry is a place that teaches the power of unconditional love and nourishes the soul, and I couldn’t be happier to be spending another summer with you all in this very special place.
Amar Donepudi, Counselor
Hello! My name is Amar Donepudi, and I’m extremely honored and excited to return as a counselor at Camp Henry! I was raised in Hickory, NC and have been coming to camp for the past 11 years. Camp Henry has without a doubt been the biggest part of my faith journey and has given me memories and friendships that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Back home, I have a strong interest in music and creative writing, two things that have also helped me in my journey through Christ. I can’t wait to start working again this summer, and I sincerely hope that I can help give the campers an incredible experience that they’ll never forget.

Jack Vezmar, Counselor
Hi! My name is Jack Vezmar and I live in Michigan! Currently,
I’m a sophomore at Michigan State University, majoring in electrical
engineering, and I’ve been having a great second year! In my free time, I love listening to music, hanging out with friends, watching/playing sports such as basketball, soccer and ultimate frisbee, and just being active in general. In high school I played varsity soccer for three years and swam on the varsity swim team for three years as well! Although I live in Michigan now, I grew up in North Carolina and moved to Michigan in the seventh grade. While in North Carolina, Camp Henry played a huge part in my summers starting in 2009 when I attended camp for the first time! I always loved going to camp as a camper, even after I moved, so I’m super excited to be a counselor this year! Some of my favorite memories from camp include camp games and singing in the chapel. I can’t wait for this summer! It’s going to be a lot of fun!
See you there!
Maria Perez, Counselor
Hey Guys ! It’s Maria aka Weewa, and I can’t wait to be back for another year at camp!! This will be my 13th summer coming to camp and my second summer on staff. This year I was a teaching assistant at an independent outdoor school in Swannanoa and nanny for 3 amazing kids! In my free time I like to dance, explore, spend time with family, and play outside. In the fall I will be a junior in college majoring in psychology with a focus in pediatric development. I am looking forward to singing and dancing in the morning and spending time with campers. I cant wait to see you there! #CH2021
Michael Vezmar, Counselor
Hello! I’m Michael Vezmar and I am so excited to again be a
counselor at camp!! I was blessed enough to have this position for the past three summers, and 2021 will be my fourth straight summer as a counselor at Camp Henry! By that time, I will have just finished my senior year at Michigan State University. (Yes I am from Michigan!) I plan to graduate in the spring of 2021 from The Honors College of MSU and The College of Engineering with a degree in Materials Science. Beyond that I plan to enter the industry, and hopefully later get a master’s degree. As for my being from Michigan, I am originally from Hickory, North Carolina, and was a camper at Camp Henry for the first time in 2009. I absolutely loved my time as a camper, which lasted until 2016, and that experience inspired me to give back as a staff member! My number one goal as a counselor is to help campers have as awesome of an experience at camp as I did! I would truly not be the person I am today if it was not for my experience as a camper at Camp Henry. It is for these reasons that I reapplied for this summer, as I would like to take this opportunity as many summers as I can, while it is still in the cards for me. Some of my favorite Camp activities include night games, singing/dancing in the chapel, and swim time. At camp you may see me as a lifeguard, playing some ultimate frisbee, or at the piano during chapel time! I truly love playing piano and music in general, and it is
a very large part of my life. At MSU I am a member of the Spartan Marching
Band, Spartan Brass (hockey/basketball/volleyball band), and the MSU Concert Band playing trumpet. I count trumpet and piano as my primary instruments; however I also have experience in choir and absolutely love singing camp songs at the piano or otherwise! I cherish the opportunity I have to share my passion for music at camp (in addition to my passion for all things Camp Henry!) and am thrilled to have that opportunity again this summer! I am looking forward to the amazing time we will have! See you there!
Morgan Dotson, Counselor
Hey guys! My name is Morgan 🙂
I’m from Asheville, NC and am still here now. I am finishing up my sophomore year and graduating with my associates degree in fashion business at the Fashion Institute of Technology this semester! My freshman year I played on the university’s volleyball team and am now a student athlete ambassador for the team since we have not be able to go back this year. In my free time I love working out, spending time outside and finding fun ways to be creative! I’ve been going to Camp Henry since 3rd grade, and this will be my second year on staff as a counselor! I can’t wait to sing, dance, laugh, play some awesome games, and just be present at the best place in the world with you guys! I can’t wait!!
Sadie McNair, Counselor
Hey everyone! My name is Sadie and I’m a sophmore at UNC
Charlotte (Go Niners!) where I am a Music Education Major with a Spanish Minor.

I have one younger brother who is currently a senior in high school and two dogs named Niko and Sully. I am so pumped to be working at Camp Henry this summer! What I love most about camp is being silly, endless fun, and unconditional love that is everywhere. I can’t wait for morning dances, mountain views, singing at the top of our lungs, friendship bracelets, Splash 101, muddin’, dodgeball, and most importantly, meeting all of you!
Cecelia Schmitt, Counselor
Hey! Hi! Hello! I’m Cece and this is going to be my third summer as a counselor at Camp Henry! I have been going to Camp Henry for about a bajillion years and I am thrilled to be on staff again! I just graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I majored in Kinesiology. I’m planning to pursue my Doctor of Chiropractic, but we’ll see what God has in store! I spend a lot of my time playing volleyball, hanging out with friends, cooking, and trying to bring the Camp Henry Spirit into my everyday life! I am definitely a cat person, so I will miss my little guy over the summer, but I can’t wait for dining hall meals, costume dance parties, camp fires, and singing in the chapel for another incredible summer with you at Camp Henry!
